May 22, 2021 Championship Tournament Results

On Saturday, May 22, 2021, 72 debaters from 14 Middle Schools, combined into 24 teams to debate the motion: This House, as the International Criminal Court, would make ecocide an international crime.  Proposition won 50.5% of the day’s ballots.

Debaters qualified for this Championship Tournament by placing first through tenth as a speaker or team member at one of CTMSDL’s three tournaments this season.

City and Country’s team of Acuthan & Bunburry & Manges won the Final Round on Proposition.  The team of Zakowich & Gilrain-Lennond & Gerber from St. Luke’s School took second place on Opposition.

Samantha Gerber of St. Luke’s School was the first place speaker.
