Debate Events
The CTMSDL holds one scrimmage (October) and three tournaments (December, January and April) each school year. This coming school year (2019-2020) the league will also hold a championship tournament at the end of April.
At our tournaments, debaters must argue both sides of one motion, which they learn in advance and have the opportunity to research in order to prepare their cases.
Coaches’ Meetings and Workshops
The CTMSDL holds a coaches meeting every spring and a coaches’ workshop every August. Our summer workshop gives attendees the opportunity to expand their skills as judges and coaches and learn new debate activities to use with their teams.
