MOTION: This House believes that artificial intelligence (AI) will do more harm than good.
On behalf of Coach John Dalton and Rippowam Middle School, the Connecticut Middle School Debate League invites you to the 2023 Championship Tournament.
Debaters qualified for this tournament by winning all 3 rounds and/or placing first through fifth as a team member or speaker at one of our 3 tournaments this season. Championship teams must have 3 members (unless someone is ill on tournament day.) Coaches should register their debaters for “ctmsdlapr1” on tabroom.com.
Teams may compete virtually or in-person. Please let Jen know by email if you have virtual teams.
ALL TEAMS MUST BE CHAPERONED.
Coaches should register one experienced judge per every 2 teams. Schools bringing 1 team should register at least 1 judge. All judges will submit electronic ballots via Tabroom and some will judge virtual debaters on Zoom, so judges must bring laptops or other devices to the tournament.

Debaters may pack their lunches or buy tickets for pizza and drinks between 9:00 & 9:45am
Pizza = $2/ slice and lemonade = $1. Coffee and lunch will be provided to judges. BYO H2O!
